My knitting group hosted an all-day workshop on Friday. One of the session providers (professional finishing) was absent so we filled the time slot helping one another.
A group member finished seaming my cropped bolero (knitted Dec 2008) for me and advised how it could be fastened at the neckband.
She suggested one large button instead of the two small ones called for in the pattern. She then taught me how to make a 'Dorset' button, using yarn from the bolero project, a curtain ring, and a sewing needle. For the button, I used some yarn left over from the project.
