Finished My Mara shawl yesterday evening. It turned out a little smaller than the pattern indicated and had to be ripped back three times in order to get a decent-sized ruffle. In the end, I used 1 skein (180yds) on the ruffle, and 2 skeins on the main body of the shawl. I'm very pleased with the way the Posh Yarn coped with the pattern, it looks very early 20thC and is so soft and smooshy on the shoulders. The colour is really nice, gentle lilacs and pinky blues.
This close up of the ruffle shows how short it is compared to the pattern. I may have to scrub the plans to buy enough solid-colour Posh to make a larger one. I can't really justify buying 4 skeins (total cost £52) for my 'Perfect' Mara
