KAL4Birgit

In February, one of my Posh Yarn contacts, Birgit, died of bronchiectasis. She had a much more serious and severe form of the disease than I have and it was evident for a long time, that hers was terminal. She rejected the offer of a lung transplant and died in a Hospice in Soroe, Denmark. Birgit had been in the Hospice before, for a rest. We all thought that she would be well enough to go home again this time. But it was not to be.

Those of us who had contact with Birgit decided on a Knitalong in her memory. I chose 'Whimsical' as my project. I made this first version for another member of the Posh group, who has just taken early retirement on a disability pension due to chronic illness.
