Miss Marple Shawl

I finished this shawl during the first couple of weeks in June, aboard the narrowboat in France. The weather was cool but dry and there was plenty of relaxation time in the evenings.

I used lots of leftovers of Posh Yarn, all cashmere or cashmere/silk mix in greys and lilac, and changed colours randomly as I went along.

I'm quite pleased with the result and love the ruffle, even though there were over 1000 stitches on the needle to create it. I don't like the 'holes down the centre of the back' that the pattern called for, so created the increase required for the triangular shape without using yarn overs.

To finish off, I picked up the stitches along the sides and knitted a few rows of garter stitch in the deep lilac colour to create a neat edge.
